7 Keys to Knowing Yourself Online Course – Part 2

Part 2 – Your Created Life

You can listen or read to begin …

This course has been recorded for hands-free easy listening, or you can read the content below. Please complete each stage before proceeding to the next. Repeating any stage is encouraged if you feel the need to.

This Part has 10 questions. Take your time and be relaxed. Start to reflect on your life as you see it, all around you.

‘Your Created Life’ is all about your current life as you experience it today. What does it look like? Are you content? Happy? Empty? How do you view what has occurred so far?

Our lives are a result of what happens to us and how we respond to what happens. There are things we cannot control, and there are things we can control. By understanding the timeline of your life including all of the influential and significant events and memories, you can begin to understand what Your Created Life has become, and why.

We make choices to be who we are every day of our lives, and we can begin to gain insight into how we view the life we have created by asking ourselves questions about our life so far. What has your journey been like?

In order to move forward and improve your way of life, you have to improve the way you see yourself, and you can only see yourself by looking into what your life has been like and who you are today. We are our own creation by our response to what we live. We continue to live the way we do because we choose to maintain the same response, for better or for worse. This is your chance to make a difference to your very next step.

Identifying what Your Created Life looks like will allow you to take control with insight. No fear. Love. And from that central point of awareness, you can look at where you want to go from here in your life.

So look at your life with open eyes, and with compassion and honesty. Be true, and experience the gift of responsibility and empathy as you look at Your Created Life.

Remember, after you have finished the questions and meditation experience, you can use the Reflection Diary in this program, or you might like to use a pen and notepad – it is entirely up to you.

Let’s begin.

Part 2 Questions

1. Summarise your life up to this point in time.

2. Create a timeline of your life, mapping out your life so far.

Be as specific as you – focus on points in time and events and changes in your life that impacted any part of your life, and how you feel. If it helps, draw it on a notepad or piece of paper.

3. What have been the major influences in your life?

4. What have been the gains in your life?

5. What have been the losses in your life?

6. What level of control have you had in your creation of life?

7. Do you feel trapped in your life?

8. Are you willing to change your creation of life?

9. What changes would you make to your life and why?

10. Where to from here?

You have finished the questions 🙂

Closing Meditation

Listen to this meditation after you have finished the questions to allow your mind, your thoughts and emotions to find a place of clarity and awareness. This meditation lasts around 10 minutes. Relax.

1. Read the recommendations before you begin!

2. Write the questions and answers in a Notebook or Personal Journal.

Or download the 7 Keys Activity Document (PDF).

You will use this document throughout this course for activities, personal reflections, dream symbology, questions & answers. Hint: hand-written Q&As will give you the best results (learn why soon!)

Recommended items and course suggestions so you can get the best results from this course…

  • Something to write on. This should be a notepad and pen. When we write with a pen or pencil we engage the brain in ways typing and touching a screen do not. However, use of a phone, tablet, computer or other device can still be used.
  • Before you sleep. It is also highly recommended to write in a journal or diary before going to sleep; this allows you to sort your feelings and empty your mind of thoughts from the day. Just as in the Dream Talking program, working with yourself often creates a greater connection inwardly and can enhance dream clarity.
  • A Personal Journal or Notepad. This is not essential, however the activities in this course are best completed when hand-written. If possible, record on your preferred written format. If you are not able to write on the PDF activity sheets or in a journal or notepad, you can make notes on your digital device just as easily.

  • Activity Sheet. If you use the PDF provided, you will need to print out a separate sheet for each question.
  • Note 1: It is strongly recommended to turn off as many distractions as possible when completing this program, such as music or television (and even your phone if you are not using it to read the course notes).
  • Note 2: It is strongly recommended to avoid using all device or screen technology at least 30 mins before going to bed. This allows your brain to relax and prepare for sleep.
